The National Association of College & University Food Services and New Mexico State University welcome you to the
2021 Southern Regional Conference!

The NACUFS 2021 Regional Conferences are moving forward with an in-person event along with a virtual component. The conferences may look a little different in 2021, but they will still have the components that make them a success year after year.

The health and peace-of-mind of every participant at a National Association of College & University Food Services event is our top priority. We are committed to implementing intentional processes to minimize risk and protect your well-being so you can focus on getting back to business. To read our Pandemic Protocol, click here.

Make plans to join us March 29-31, in Las Cruces, New Mexico!

About This Event

Founded in 1888, New Mexico State University (NMSU) is the oldest public institution of higher education in the state of New Mexico. We are proud to be hosting the NACUFS 2021 Southern Regional Conference in the Land of Enchantment. Located at the base of the Organ Mountains and along the Rio Grande River, Las Cruces boasts 350 days of sunshine per year and attracts visitors from all over the world to experience an array of outdoor recreation activities, historic attractions and our world-class New Mexican cuisine.

NMSU and Las Cruces has played a unique role in our country’s agricultural heritage. We are proud to be the home of the nation’s oldest wine-growing region, one of the top three states in the U.S. for pecan production, and world-renown for our chile pepper production and research.  Established in 1992, The Chile Pepper Institute at NMSU is the only international, non-profit organization devoted to education and research related to Capsicum, or chile peppers.

We are excited to offer an array of educational and motivational programing during our conference and look forward to providing a variety of memorable opportunities to safely network and collaborate among college and university foodservice peers while following all of the latest CDC guidelines. On behalf of the Southern Regional Conference task force and the entire NMSU Aggie community, we invite you to spice things up! and come experience our famous southwestern hospitality here in Southern New Mexico!

Look forward to seeing you soon,
