As you tour, you'll have the chance to savor delicious samples from various stations, experiencing firsthand the culinary innovations that make Urban Bytes a standout destination.
- Epicenter Cafe: Discover the newest gem on campus, offering a modern and lively setting where students can fuel up and enjoy a variety of their favorite snacks, beverages and culinary delights.
- Honors Market: Explore a diverse selection of grocery options and foods from popular campus spots like Hive Pizza, Saffron Valley, and the Urban Bytes Kitchen. BYU Culinary Tour: Behind the Scenes of BYU Dining
Discover how BYU Dining Services expertly balances large-scale efficiency with culinary excellence. This exclusive behind-the-scenes tour offers a firsthand look at the university’s innovative food operations.
We’ll begin at the 8,000-square-foot Culinary Finishing Kitchen (CFK), where guests will see large-scale meal prep in action and enjoy freshly prepared samples. Next, we will visit the Culinary Support Center (CSC) to watch BYU Creamery ice cream being made and explore the pastry kitchen, complete with another delicious tasting. The tour continues with a walk past the construction site of the new BYU Creamery, a visit to the Cougareat food court, and an opportunity to observe the BYU Catering team serve 2,500 youth in just 30 minutes—a remarkable display of precision and teamwork.
We will wrap up with lunch at our food truck Brigham’s Wagon before boarding the buses back to Salt Lake City.
