General Purpose
Oversees ongoing day-to-day operations and procedures for multiple major residential dining locations serving the River Campus and Eastman School of Music University community. Develops programming, scheduling, and planning for the operational success of the residential dining halls of the University dining program. Responsible for delivering quality nutritional services daily in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Ensures consistent food service, proper food preparation and storage, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards. Establishes policies and ensures procedures are followed. Ensures that food standards, operating efficiency levels, financial performance standards, timetables, and metrics are met and adhered to for success. Works with team members to identify operational improvement opportunities.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Associate's degree in hospitality, business, or related field and 5 years of experience in a leadership role required.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience working in a food service or dining operations role required.
  • Experience working with represented staff and/or experience working with a diverse audience preferred.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to manage complex projects, design and implement new programs required.
  • Ability to analyze, condense, and synthesize information and provide accurate analysis and summaries required.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, and strong attention to detail required.
  • Strategic planning skills required.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and follow established protocols and procedures required.
  • Previous leadership experience, including team management required.


Licenses and Certifications:

  • Serv-Safe certification within 12 months of hire required.
  • AllerTrain certification within 12 months of hire required.
