The Marketing and Communications Manager is part of an internal creative services team that promotes University Housing & Dining Services at Oregon State University. UHDS’s vision is to engage OSU students, enrich their lives and help them thrive. The department offers a variety of living and dining options in 15 residence halls, more than 25 campus dining locations, a grocery market, The Gem and 1045 SW Madison Ave. apartments, and Orchard Court family housing. As an auxiliary enterprise, UHDS is funded solely by customers who utilize these programs. UHDS is committed to an appreciation for diversity, and is dedicated to fostering an open, respectful and enjoyable living, learning and working environment.

A primary emphasis for this position is to create, implement and track targeted marketing plans for new and existing university-wide programs that support students, and the larger OSU community. These programs include but are not limited to: UHDS residential and retail dining, University Catering, Orange Cash, robot food delivery and summer housing. This is a highly collaborative role that facilitates project success from determination of scope to completion. Some sample projects for this role include promoting menus and specials with the dining team, marketing programs with the residential education unit, communicating assignments processes with the operations unit, new business development, and executing branding in UHDS spaces with various unit partners.

OSU commits to inclusive excellence by advancing equity and diversity in all that we do. We are an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity employer, and particularly encourage applications from members of historically underrepresented racial/ethnic groups, women, individuals with disabilities, veterans, LGBTQ community members, and others who demonstrate the ability to help us achieve our vision of a diverse and inclusive community.
