Join our amazing team for a great opportunity as the first retail operations manager for Tech Dining!

 

As the manager, you will oversee the entire Student Center retail operations. You will also ensure individual and team performance meets objectives of Tech Dining as well as ten individual retail brand standards and requirements. Create value through efficient operations, appropriate cost controls, and profit management for the entire Student Center. Evaluate all dining brands to ensure each is profitable and running efficiently and effectively. Ensure the entire team is trained and able to execute daily dining operations. Supervise team regarding production, quality, and control for all retail dining operations. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance and providing feedback, and making pay recommendations.

 

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee and manage Student Center retail dining operations ensuring each operation is running efficiently
  • Responsible for managing the hourly staff and assisting with the day-to-day operations of all areas of the kitchen including production, prep, stewarding, purchasing, and receiving
  • Develop and implement retail services plans to improve service, quality, and profitability of respective areas
  • Assists the Asst. Director with recruiting, retaining, training, and developing an optimum number of staff who are enthusiastically dedicated to delivering the highest level of hospitality to the guest
  • Responsible for the profitability of restaurant operations by operating within cost of goods and labor productivity guidelines while providing quality food and exceptional service
  • Responds to guest complaints and resolves them in a way that ensures the guest will return quickly; ensures that every guest leaves happy before leaving the building
  • Perform other related job duties assigned
