Dining Services Assistant Director

The successful candidate will:

  • motivate, coach, mentor and develop frontline (hourly-paid), staff;
  • provide stellar customer service;
  • oversee cash handing processes, and POS programming and maintenance;
  • ensure Brevard College Dining food and physical safety programs and standards are followed;
  • conduct audits of our Cafeteria, Coffee Shop and late Night Dining
  • maintain integrity of Food Quality and Execution
  • manage the opening and closing the operation as well daily food service operations;
  • ensure all needed signage (including digital) is in place;
  • manage vendor relationships and compliance; and/or
  • maintain all product merchandising, marketing and ordering standards are in place.

Position Summary

Provides leadership and supervision for the Dining Service, Coffee Shop and Late Night Dining service  staff in the delivery of our products to the Students, Faculty and Staff. Provides supervision for dining services at cafeteria, coffee shop and late night to ensure client satisfaction. Implements business practices in order to uphold Brevard College mission, values and commitments.
Key Duties
- Establishes a safe work environment

- Assumes Dining Services Director’s responsibilities and authority in his absence

- Utilizes tools and programs to develop customer, and staff relationships.

- Implements and fully utilizes all tools and programs to ensure financial outcomes

- Directs daily operations of food service to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources, ensures operating standards and regulatory requirements are met

- Develops and implements plans, projects, with defined objectives, methods, timetables and budget to support Brevard College’s strategic plan

- Ensures adherence to all HR standards for Brevard College and  regulatory agencies
