NACUFS Board of Trustees Position Descriptions

The National Association of College & University Food Services (NACUFS) Nominating Committee is seeking candidates who have earned the respect of others in the collegiate foodservice industry. When evaluating the candidates, the Nominating Committee will pay particular attention to the following primary attributes as key selection characteristics:

  • Ability to think critically
  • Proven history of innovation

Openings for 2025 include:

  • Chairperson-Elect (3-year commitment, 2025-2028)
  • Treasurer (2-year term, 2025-2027)
  • At-Large Trustee (4 open positions; 2-year term, 2025-2027)

Regional Ambassadors

The ambassador represents NACUFS members in the ambassador's region and will provide a sound communication link between NACUFS and its members. Regional ambassadors also play a key role on the NACUFS Nominating Committee. Nominations for 2024-2025 Regional Ambassador-elect are currently open, this is a two year term, with the first year serving as the Regional Ambassador-elect and the second year as the Regional Ambassador. For additional information or to inquire about becoming the next ambassador for your region, send an email to Jenna Goins, or click on the link below to apply.

Committee Leadership

Learning Committee

Members of the learning committee work in, or have a passion for, areas like training and development. They have an understanding of what collegiate foodservice operators need to develop a world-class workforce, and help NACUFS make connections with subject matter experts. 

Approximate time commitment: 2 hours/month

Marketing & Communications Committee

Members of the marketing and communications committee have a passion for sharing information. They are knowledgeable about social media, digital communications, and are always willing to help tell the story of NACUFS and it’s members.

Approximate time commitment: 2 hours/month

Membership Committee

Members of the membership committee have a passion for sharing their love of NACUFS. They serve in many different roles within their operations, and understand how the different benefits of NACUFS help their institution. They enjoy sharing this information with other institutions and helping to recruit and retain new members.

Industry Advisory Task Force

Members of the IATF understand how the industry helps to elevate collegiate dining. They are always willing to share with their clients the benefits of NACUFS and are key to helping recruit new members. They also assist with special projects as needed.

National Conference and Spring Conference Task Forces

Members of the conference planning task forces serve in a variety of roles on their campus. They have a good understanding of what collegiate dining professionals need to take away from the NACUFS conferences and are willing to share their thoughts, ideas, insights, and passion towards making each event a high-quality experience. Task force members are included in regular calls to discuss conference elements and have responsibilities on-site at the conference.

The charge of the National Conference Task Force is to plan and deliver a successful annual conference program in alignment with the NACUFS 2025-2028 strategy. The National Conference Task Force is a rolling workgroup where members can participate for one or more conference cycles. Positions are available for both the 2026 and 2027 National Conference Task Forces. 

The charge of the Spring Conference Task Force is to plan and deliver a successful conference in alignment with the NACUFS 2025-2028 strategy.
