Call for Proposals - 2019 Regional Conferences

Is there something your school does particularly well?

Please share it with your association, friends and colleagues by presenting an interest session at a regional conference. 

Submit your proposal by December 11 to be considered.

Program Information

The maximum expected audience per session is 50-100 attendees. In addition to the lecture format, other popular presentation formats include interactive (audience participation), case study, and best practice formats. The education team will select programs that demonstrate the greatest potential for contributing to the quality of the conference and that represent the variety of roles within collegiate foodservice. Each interest session will be approximately 60 minutes in length.

For any proposal to be fully considered, a completed program proposal must be submitted by December 11, 2018.

2019 Regional Call for Proposals

Region *

Program Title (Limit to 8 words.)

The program title is an invitation to your session and should spark interest in reviewing the session abstract. Try to avoid catchy titles that may cause participants to dismiss your session.

Select a track that best matches one of the descriptions below. If you are uncertain about which track to select, select the “Other” option.

Track 1: Talent Management (e.g., recruitment and selection, training and development, retention, staffing issues, student employees, customer service, communication, supervision, wellness programs)
Track 2: Culinary and Nutrition (e.g., emerging cuisine and food trends, labeling, local and organic produce, special diets, nutrition, allergen services, food safety, menu planning)
Track 3: Marketing, Communication and Campus Engagement (e.g., student engagement, public relations, merchandising, social media, publications, branding, special promotions and events, marketing plans, new revenue sources, catering, dining plan sales)
Track 4: Financial, Operations and Business Administration (e.g., financial management, program, capital planning and project management, benchmarking, revenue creation, strategic and master planning, capital improvements/renovations, food trucks, dining plan design, systems and technology, procurement and contract management, risk management, regulations)
