NACUFS is seeking individuals who would like to be involved in selecting the next members of our competency-based, strategic governing board of trustees. Self-nominations are encouraged, but keep in mind that if you plan to run for one of the open positions, you are not eligible to serve on the nominating committee. The 2020 nominating committee will be comprised of ten members; the immediate past president (chair), the six regional directors, and three members appointed by the president, one of whom shall be an industry member.

All applications must be received by NACUFS by October 18, 2019. The board will announce the nominating committee members on or before November 8, 2019.

So that you might gauge the time requirements of accepting this position, the nominating committee will begin its main work vetting the candidates in February 2020 in order to present an initial slate to the board of trustees in April 2020. There will be one additional call for members to nominate additional candidates and those will also need to be vetted by the nominating committee between May 27 and June 11, 2020. At that point, the final slate will be announced to the membership to be voted on at the July 11, 2020 General Membership Assembly.
