Organization Details

The Division of University Housing is committed to providing an exceptional workplace for its workforce of approximately 450 career staff members and over 1,500 students. University Housing provides an inclusive and safe working environment that promotes engagement, empowerment, and professional development. University Housing operates nineteen residence halls across the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus, providing a home to over 7,400 undergraduate students. We also operate three apartment communities, serving about 3,000 graduate students, academic staff, postdoctoral researchers, faculty, and their families. In addition, we manage seven dining venues across campus, and provide conference group and youth camp housing throughout the summer months.


This position will lead and coordinate departmental and divisional sustainability initiatives, including work within University Housing and with campus/community partners. This position will also oversee, collaborate, and provide consultation regarding programming efforts for residents and staff.

Required Qualifications

Two years of experience coordinating and facilitating educational programming or consulting and making recommendations related to sustainability prefered.

A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Agriculture, Food Science, or a related field is preferred.

A driver's license which meets UW Risk Management standards is preferred.

Physical requirements: long periods of standing and walking and frequent lifting of objects weighing approximately 50 pounds.
