Campus Enterprises is NC State’s Division for Retail and Hospitality Services—NC State Dining, NC State Bookstores, Lonnie Poole Golf Course, NC State Student Centers (Witherspoon and Talley), and the Wolfpack One Card Services. Each unit shares a common goal: deliver quality and efficient services with dedicated financial support for student activity and scholarships.

NC State Dining provides campus wide food services to students, staff, and faculty on the North Carolina State University Campus. NC State Dining operates 11 cafes, 3 food courts and 4 dining halls, 5 convenience stores, campus concessions, vending, a nutritional counseling service, and a catering department. The department employs approximately 1000 temporary and student employees and approximately 150 permanent EHRA and SHRA employees.


The primary purpose of this position is to maintain nutritional information, food allergen data, and ingredient information in the department’s C-Bord Food Management System, by analyzing recipes in the database, correcting data, and exporting accurate nutrition and food allergen data to various publication systems.

Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Support NC State Dining’s dietitian and nutritional program, and provide nutritional content to catering.
  • Maintain and operate the product labeling system for the department, which requires full knowledge of principles and practices of nutrition. Develop and maintain a labeling system for the dining hall menu items.
  • Conduct frequent audits of the food labels on campus.
  • Assess new products and recipes for nutritional information, including allergens. Research and update existing products and recipes as needed.
  • Training and support all campus units that label food items at their site.
  • Assist with maintenance of all customer accessible nutrition signage, labels, web pages, and iPads kiosks with accurate information.

Required Qualifications

Minimum Experience/Education:

Graduation from a four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in foods and nutrition dietetics or public health nutrition; or completion of an ADA Dietetic internship with ADA Commission; Dietetic Registration eligibility preferred.
Degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Preferred Experience/Education:

Registered Dietitian or Registered Dietitian – Eligible

Department Required Skills:

  • Ability to analyze nutritional data.
  • Knowledge of food allergens, labeling laws, and food production and food procurement.
  • Extensive computer skills and ability to learn new programs.
  • Knowledge of CBORD food management system or similar food management system, and Bartender nutrition labeling software.
