We are currently seeking talented, motivated and ambitious individuals to interview for the position of Food Zoo Manager.


The Food Zoo Manager administers and manages all Food Zoo activities including special events, daily food production and service, and personal guest service standards. This position develops and implements short term and long range goals; develops yearly capital repair and renovation and equipment purchases and projects; directly manages and provides active supervision to all personnel including recruitment, training, determining staffing needs, evaluations and initiation of personnel actions.

Required Qualifications

Extensive experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities at this level are typically acquired with a four-year degree in hospitality or foodservice management or a related field, plus a minimum of four years of directly related experience, or a two year degree from an accredited culinary program, with six years of related food service management experience. Three of those years must be in a high volume operation

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in the practices, methods and techniques of food service management in a high volume operation
  • Proven guest service skills
  • Demonstrated planning and execution skills of various size events including theme dinners, special menus, entertainment, and fun
  • Knowledge of budget management practices and procedures
  • Demonstrated skill and experience in food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Demonstrated knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures including training
  • Experience and expertise with menu development, costing, and service
  • Effective public relations, interpersonal, and oral communication skills, including ability to establish and maintain positive work relationships (Excellent English language skills are required)
  • Demonstrated organizational, time management, and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated skill in use of personal computers and related software
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain, a Montana Driver’s license at the time of employment
  • Must be management ServSafe certified or be able to become certified at the time of employment

Preferred Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of food management and or event planning software
  • Experience with managing a dining operation in a university setting
