Position Summary:

Lakeside Cafe. The Sous Chef oversees the daily operations and ensures quality presentation of all food served to meet the standard established by the Director of Culinary Excellence and assists the Chef de Cuisine to ensure proper training of all culinary team members for optimal production results.

Essential Functions

• Prepares daily production list and verifies that culinary staff follow all recipes and portion control.

• Ensures all culinary production areas are clean and organized.

• Ensures adherence to sanitation rules and regulations.

• Assists the General Manager, Executive Chef, and Chef de Cuisine in planning food production levels and staffing needs.

Required Qualifications

Minimum Education Required:

Associate’s Degree or two years of post-secondary education

Effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; legally authorized to work in the United States; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment
