Learn ways to decide which meal plan is most cost-effective, the effect of changing operation hours on labor costs, and how to save costs in one area to transfer the savings to sustainability efforts or another area of operation.

Rich Neumann, Director of Dining Services at Ohio University and Art Korandanis, Director of Auxiliary Services at College of the Holy Cross, will be presenting a 90-minute NACUFS Webinar that will help you use sound financial data to make difficult financial decisions to improve foodservice operations on your campus.  The presenters will demonstrate specific tools and spreadsheet templates, as well as the use of NACUFS benchmarking data that can be used to drive and communicate decisions about operating hours, staffing, meal plans and infrastructure issues.

Following the program, participants will receive a CD-Rom with a recording of the presentation, as well as specific Microsoft® Excel templates of the tools demonstrated in the Webinar. Tools will include:

  • Revenue estimator
  • Labor cost calculator
  • Profit and loss template
  • Example benchmarking report
