Neighborhood Market Retail Workshop
July 6-7, 2010

Fast Forward your efforts to improve your campus retail operations by spending eight hours of concentrated time to hear the latest retail trends, share best practices, and network with other college and university foodservice professionals on topics of relevance specific to campus convenience store and other retail operations.

Arrive at the national conference early on Tuesday and jump right in with afternoon sessions to help you to make sound financial management decisions in tough economic times. You will explore ideas for considering new product lines, rejuvenating your layout, updating your packaging and/or merchandising, changing operation hours, energizing your marketing efforts, setting even higher standards for customer service, and otherwise improving the bottom-line of your retail operations. The discussions will also focus on ideas for incorporating sustainability practices in your C-store, including the relevant information from the NACUFS Sustainability Guide.

Stay for an evening reception to continue informal discussions and build a sense of community with other campus professionals, including those who are the “best in the business” at continually updating and improving their campus retail operations.

Return refreshed on Wednesday morning for breakfast with your peers, including those attending other pre-conference workshops, and vendors selected specifically for product mix and services that are relevant to the campus convenience store market.

Then top it all off with another half-day of informative sessions and roundtable discussions, including an awards presentation and panel discussion with the 2010 “Best in the Business” C-Store winners.
