Member Profile: Sister Maureen Schrimpe, IHM, FMP, RD
If you’ve been at a NACUFS national or Mid-Atlantic Region conference, most likely you’ve met Sister Maureen Schrimpe, watched her make a presentation on stage, witnessed her sharp sense of humor, or noticed her working busily to keep programs on time and participants meeting proper protocol. For nearly three decades, she’s been an active, visible NACUFS participant who has made a notable, positive mark on the association.
“As the ruler of protocol, Sister makes sure we are in the right place at the right time,” says Stu Orefice, director of dining services at Princeton University, who has worked with Sister on several regional committees (the former Region II and current Mid-Atlantic Region) and boards of directors. He credits her as “the one person who acclimated me to our NACUFS region and always acted with grace and style as a big sister.”
