Katie Seawell is the marketing director of Starbucks™ Shared Planet™ and US promotions. In her Starbucks™ Shared Planet™ role she is responsible for leading the messaging and programming for Starbucks corporate social responsibility platform (Shared Planet). She is a six year partner at Starbucks. In this time she has led the test market launch of Starbucks VIA, packaging innovation for whole bean coffee and managed both the brewed coffee and whole bean coffee businesses. Prior to joining Starbucks she worked for advertising agencies in the US and abroad. Katie has her undergraduate degree in Marketing from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and her MBA from the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business. Farmer Jones, always
dressed in his trademark overalls and a red bowtie, and the team at The
Chef's Garden apply sustainable agricultural practices that restore the
nutrients to the soil in order to produce food that looks good, tastes
good and is good for you. In 2003 The Culinary Vegetable Institute
opened its doors as a culinary retreat, research and teambuilding
facility, which was a dream of Farmer Jones'.
Much in demand as a speaker and expert on sustainable agriculture, Farmer Jones and the farm have been featured in numerous national publications including: Bon Appetit, Cooking Light, Gourmet, Food & Wine, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Inc.
